After never ending delays, the launch date of Italian online casino and cash poker games is finally occurring very shortly.
The Italian Gambling Authority, AAMS, has now published a notice informing operators that the first authorizations to the offering of casino and cash poker games will be issued on the 18th of July 2011 and subsequently every first and third Monday of each month.
This does not mean that all the operators will gain their authorization on that day, but those that fulfill all the applicable technical and legal requirements and have submitted the appropriate documentation to AAMS might be in the position to start offering such games very soon.
The launch of these new games that on .COM websites are in most of the cases the most popular games is expected to substantially boost the Italian gaming market and new entrants into the market should speed up to get a license as soon as possible.
Additionally, AAMS has also published today a decree introducing a new category of bonuses, the so called fun bonuses applicable only to casino games. The main peculiarity of these bonuses is that, unlike “ordinary” bonuses, they are not taxed and are not taken into account for the purposes of the calculation of the license fees and bank guarantees due.
