The Italian Gambling Authority has published today the new regulations governing online bingo games.
No major surprises have been unveiled. For those that expected the adoption of bingo regulations allowing more flexibility to operators and the implementation of different bingo variants, unfortunately they will be disappointed.
The new bingo regulations are still subject to the limitations prescribed by the previous regulations, but adapt the regulations to the new licensing regime also extending the favorable tax regime up to 31 December 2011.
The main change introduced by such regulations is the lowering of the minimum price of bingo tickets from € 0.10 to € 0.01 so allowing operators to offer “soft” versions of bingo making it more and more a family game.
