It was a great day for our DLA Piper Internet of Things group with over 350 attendees of our first IoT webinar and 1000+ people registered for it.ย
When we created our global Internet of Things group we had quite high expectations. ย The purpose of the group is to bring together DLA Piper lawyers from different jurisdictions specialized in tech and sourcing, privacy, telecom, media, e-commerce, intellectual property, life science, product liability and commercial law in order to be able to offer a full package to our clients covering all the shades of an IoT project. ย Indeed, the Internet of Things is disruptive also in the type of assistance required that covers different areas of law and we tried to adjust our offering to our clients’ requests.
The group at the moment includes 70+ lawyers from the different DLA Piper offices worldwide and is expanding with the growth of the Internet of Things. ย And the interest showed by you during the webinar is the confirmation that we are heading towards the right direction. ย Therefore the purpose of this blog post is to THANK YOU for your support!
The recording of the webinar and the material are available HERE and we will send it to all the registered people. ย If you want to receive such material and/or to attend our next webinars please drop an email to me Giulio Coraggioย so that we can add you to our IoT mailing list. ย The next webinar will relate to theย legal issues of open source inย Internet of Things and you can follow our updates on DLA Piper IoT page and through the hashtag #DLAPiperIoT ย Also, we will specifically address in the next webinars in the position to be taken by the privacy regulators following the launch of the consultation on the topic covered in this blog post.
