Medical device conference – come and join us!

Together with some colleagues, I will be speaking about eHealth and telemedicine on the 19th of June 2014 at the AboutPharma medical device conference named “Medical Devices: What’s up?” (Dispositivi Medici: What’s Up) where regulatory and economic matters relating to the medical devices sector will be tackled. 

The presentation that my colleagues and I will give is aimed at covering among others:

• The protection of medical devices patents, trade secrets, the shape of medical devices and trademarks
• The protection of R&D investments
• The contractual structures for medical devices  also in the relationship with public authorities
• The protection against counterfeited products
• The potential future developments: 3D printing, nanotechnologies and Big Data
• The qualification of hardward and software as medical devices
• The telemedice and eHaelth

This conference will provide a broad overview on how to protect a medical device and the future of these products with reference among others to telemedice and eHealth also impacting the Internet of Things previously covered, the qualification of a medical device as well as data protection issues affecting them.
