The EU Privacy Regulation will come into force on 25 May 2018, the deadline appears far, but given the amount of changes to be implemented it seems too soon.
Internet of Things (IoT) privacy related concerns require the implementation of a privacy by design approach otherwise suppliers might face major fines and risks.
The GDPR provides for the "one stop shop" privacy rule which might be of difficult implementation for multinational companies that could still face disputes in several countries.
