The Italian privacy authority has issued a GDPR fine for installing CCTV systems in the workplace in violation of obligations under Article 4 of the Workers' Statute.
The video surveillance system adopted to monitor vehicles by a taxi company has been considered by the Finnish privacy authority to be in breach of the data protection law.
CCTV cameras and in general, video surveillance systems are exponentially becoming intrusive but generate substantial data protection law issues according to the EDPB.
